The tractor is equipped with a brake system with both the pedals on the right side. The steering wheel is also improved in the Ford 8N.

The tractor is equipped with new hydraulic touch control so as to avoid violation of active Ferguson patents for the position control system licensed by Ferguson. The Ford 8N was equipped with drum brakes and disc clutches. The fan belt cooling system built-in in the 8N tractor keeps the engine cool. A high-quality radiator has also been installed in the tractor. The Ford 8N became so popular in its time that various companies began manufacturing toys that were exact replicas of this tractor.
