Using Tractor Safety Manual

Knowing all about using tractors safely is essential if you are planning to use one, whether it is your first time or if you have been using them your whole life. Initially, you should take look at yourself before embarking on your tractor journey.

Safety boots should also be worn; ones with a good grip as tractors can be slippery, especially when it has rained. Jewelry and long hair as well as flowing garments can all get caught in the machinery and therefore should not be worn on tractors at all.

Check the machinery for visible faults prior to operating it and ask yourself if you know enough about the equipment to use it properly and safely.

Getting in and out of tractors is another thing that a lot of people do not do correctly. Never get in or out of a tractor that is moving! When you get in your tractor, use a seat belt. Always ensure that you are in the cab, seat belt on and seated correctly before using any controls within the tractor. Last but not least, never operate tractors, or any other type of equipment, unless you know how to use it and have been trained in its operation properly.
